小提琴小组课程, 中提琴, and 大提琴 students take place once a week and are required for students grades 2–4. Group lessons are required for students grades 2-4. 大提琴合唱团和中提琴合唱团或五年级及以上的学生.

– Scales, technique, Suzuki and supplemental repertoire

Composition
The goal of composition private lessons is for students to compose and notate at least one composition per session, to be performed by the student composer and/or other musician(s). Composition课对c的学生开放urrently study piano, or have a minimum three years of study on their primary instrument.

Students in this program have won numerous local, 区域, and national composition contests and awards and have been accepted to the nationally renowned Brevard summer camp under merit scholarship.

Piano students should have a piano or 64-key (or larger) keyboard with pedal attachment at home. Please consult with your child’s teacher for string instrument sizing before renting or purchasing an instrument. 私人 lesson teachers can recommend sources for instrument rental or purchase.
实践细节
– Students are expected to practice outside of lessons every day for the same amount of time as their lesson (for example, a student who takes a 30 minute private lesson is expected to practice 30 minutes a day at home).
– Parents are expected to help students establish a daily practice routine, providing necessary materials and a quiet place free from distractions.
– Parents are expected to help younger students (ages 5–10) practice at home. Parents are expected to attend private lessons to take notes or video record.
